Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the people of Spain on their national holiday – the National Day of Spain, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Despite the different historical paths that our countries took, both nations have many things in common, including respect for Christian values, family, hard work, patriotism and sympathy for those who suffer,” the message of congratulations reads.
The head of state expressed confidence that even in today's difficult conditions, the Spaniards and Belarusians will be able to maintain friendly contacts and remain partners who respect each other and are interested in expanding constructive, mutually beneficial cooperation for a better future for their descendants.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of Spain peace, prosperity and further progress.
