Minsk oblast’s hunting enterprises earn Br60.4m in January-September
MINSK, 27 October (BelTA) – In January-September this year, the forest hunting enterprises of the Minsk oblast rendered services to foreign hunters at the amount of Br60.4 million, BelTA learnt from Sergei Shestakov, chief huntsman of the Minsk State Production Forestry Association.
Hunters from neighboring Russia and Ukraine and also from France, Italy, Germany and Denmark visit Belarus for hunting in its forests. According to experts, the Italian hunters prefer hunt for birds, the Russian and Ukrainian hunters – for roe, elk and wild boar.
The hunting season lasts from early March to 31 January. Some 19 forest hunting enterprises of the Minsk oblast offer their services to foreign hunters.
According to Sergei Shestakov, according to the state program on forest hunting enterprises development, the united national system of economically efficient and highly organized hunting enterprises is expected to be set up. In line with the program, the hunting enterprises will implement special measures on wild life protection in the interests of preservation and stable reproduction of biological diversity, development of hunting tourism.
