About 120 participants from 30 countries have confirmed their participation in the high-level international conference Eurasian Security: Reality and Prospects in a Transforming World, which is due to take place in Minsk on 26-27 October, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik told the media, BelTA has learned.
According to the minister, the organization of such a forum requires considerable efforts amid the current geopolitical conditions. “It is clear that it is not easy to organize such a discussion,” he said. “In the current conditions it is very important for us to continue the dialogue on security issues.”
Belarus expects to hold a broad discussion on Eurasian security issues as part of this conference. “We hope that this discussion will help us formulate a certain vision of the prospects for strengthening security in the region,” the minister said.
