MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – During the three days of early voting some 16.79% of voters came to polling stations to elect members of local councils of deputies, Secretary of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus Nikolai Lozovik told BelTA.
On 18-20 March, some 15.65% of voters cast their ballot in Brest Oblast, 18.12% in Vitebsk Oblast, 16.83% in Gomel Oblast, 15.07% in Grodno Oblast, 15.75% in Minsk Oblast, 17.58% in Mogilev Oblast and 18.2% in Minsk.
The turnout at the repeat parliamentary election that is held in Gomel-Novobelitsky constituency No. 36 stood at 11.98% after the three days of early voting.
Early voting will conclude on 22 March. Polling stations are open from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00. The election day is scheduled for 23 March.
