MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) - Belarus is ready to expand its presence in the food market of Ukraine, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Leonid Marinich told a press conference, BelTA has learnt.

Ukraine and Belarus have very difficult relations in terms of the access of Belarusian food products to the Ukrainian market. \"We had only 15 enterprises accredited (39 Ukrainian enterprises have the right to supply food to Belarus). But nevertheless, we supplied dairy, meat products and they sold very well. Today, we are willing to deliver these products, and also canned meat, baby food,” Leonid Marinich said.

According to him, Belarus private business, processing enterprises are ready to expand their presence in the Ukrainian market. Over the past two years, Ukraine has not extended the list of Belarusian enterprises which could supply their products to the market.

“We are ready to cooperate with them. But so far the Ukrainian authorities have not expressed any willingness,” said Leonid Marinich.
