MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) - Belarus has presented its business and investment potential in Washington, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
Over 100 guests took part in this event, which was organized by the Belarusian embassy in the U.S. jointly with the Eurasia Center and the Eurasian Business Coalition. They represented Congress, the Department of State, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, the World Bank, the IMF, the governments of the city of Washington and the State of Maryland, American consulting and law firms, research centers, universities and public organizations.
«Participants from the U.S. praised the conditions that Belarus has created for trade and investment cooperation and called on American investors to cooperate with our country more closely,» the Foreign Ministry said.
During the event the sides discussed the possibility of expanding R&D cooperation, establishing brotherly relations between the cities of the two countries and organizing visits of business delegations.
