Belarus, Israel sign agreement on sci-tech cooperation
MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Israel signed a memorandum of understanding in sci-tech cooperation, BelTA learnt from the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee.
The document was inked by the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus and Israel’s Science and Technology Ministry at the third meeting of a joint Belarus-Israel committee for trade and economic cooperation. The sides agreed to promote bilateral sci-tech cooperation, develop and strengthen relations between universities, research institutes and scientific organizations.
The memorandum is of great significance not only for scientists but also for businessmen of the two countries. For instance, this July the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus played host to the Belarusian-Israeli business forum on high-tech cooperation. Belarusian organizations are planning the similar event in Israel in the near future.
