Belarus’ Ambassador to Belgium, University of Mons officials discuss interuniversity cooperation
MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belarus to Belgium Andrei Yevdochenko met with Pierre Dehombreux, Vice President of Belgium University of Mons, to discuss the prospects for interuniversity cooperation through EU programs Tempus and Erazmus Mundus, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Froeign Ministry of Belarus.
In the university Andrei Yevdochenko met with students of the Russian language translation department. The Ambassador briefed the students on the priorities of Belarus’ foreign policy, opportunities of trade, economic, scientific, technological and cultural cooperation with our country. The students also watched a documentary about Belarus.
In addition, the Ambassador attended a ceremony to open a center of Belarusian literature at the university’s Center of Russian Language and Culture. The center displays a book exposition prepared by the Culture and Foreign Ministries of Belarus.
The center has held a presentation of Vladimir Korotkevich’s Wild Hunt of by King Stakh published in four languages (Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian and English) to mark the author’s anniversary.
