Swedish companies are interested in cooperation with Belarus

Swedish companies are interested in long-term cooperation with Belarus, Andreas von der Heide, CEO of the International Council of Swedish Industry, noted during the opening of the Belarusian-Swedish seminar in the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He noted that within the recent years, the International Council of Swedish Industry has discussed the possibility of cooperation with other countries and many members of the council showed their interest in business development with Belarusian companies. “We see a great potential of the Belarusian market and we understand that in comparison with other countries the number of Swedish companies on this market is not sufficient. At present, we are developing the strategic avenues of the cooperation,” Andreas von der Heide noted. Erika Molin was appointed Council’s director for Belarus. The first visit of representatives of the Council of Swedish Industry to Belarus was made in March this year. The Belarusian-Swedish seminar has been organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly with the International Council of Swedish Industry. The seminar will present reports about the history and the modern days of Sweden. During the seminar, a presentation of opportunities of the economic cooperation with Swedish companies will be held. Attending the seminar are representatives of the Belarusian Industrial Association, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Belarusian banks, the Foreign Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences, the Brest Oblast Committee of Employers, the Belarusian Union of Transport Workers, ZAO Atlant, Integral Company, OAO Belkart, the Minsk Bearing Plant.
