In 2014 Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) increased the export of fertilizers by 66% in comparison with the previous year to 9.5 million tonnes, BPC Press Secretary Irina Savchenko told BelTA.

“As far as Belaruskali\'s production and export are concerned, the year 2013 was not particularly illustrative due to market problems caused by severed business relations with Uralkali. This is why it is worth comparing 2014 with 2012. In 2014 export rose by 54% from 2012,” said Irina Savchenko.

According to the source, the year 2014 was quite a success for Belarusian Potash Company. In 2014 the number of countries that buy Belarusian potash chloride went beyond 90. Brand new markets were penetrated. In 2014 Belaruskali\'s potash fertilizers became available in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Benin, the UK, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Kuwait, the USA, Sierra Leone, and Fiji. The resumption of deliveries to the USA is worth emphasizing. Belarusian potash is available in virtually all the markets across the globe, said Irina Savchenko.

The BPC representative also noted that the company is positive about the future. “We have a number of advantages in comparison with our competitors with regard to manufacturing capacity, the quality of products, and logistics,” she explained. Irina Savchenko pointed out that OAO Belaruskali\'s capacity to manufacture granulated potassium chloride is unparalleled while this kind of potash is the most popular product on the market (at present 60% of the output capacity is used to make granulated potassium chloride). The company\'s manufacturing is mobile and can swiftly respond to changes on the market. Belaruskali can make a very broad range of products, including commercial-grade white granulated potassium, which virtually no other producer makes, concluded the Press Secretary.
