Youth Parliament will be in Minsk Oblast. BelTA learned from Head of Department for Family and Youth Affairs Chief Directorate of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Olga Shybko.

Youth Parliament will be collegial and consultative body will act on a voluntary basis in accordance with applicable law. It will be created at the Minsk Oblast Council of Deputies.

As explained by Olga Shybko, a member of the Youth Parliament can become a citizen of Belarus at the age of 12 years to 31 years, residing in the territory of Minsk region. In total, the Parliament will be involved 57 people. Among them will be representatives of children\'s and youth organizations, youth actively participating in public life in the region, students of educational institutions of secondary, vocational and secondary special education, representatives of the Minsk Oblast Council of Deputies, the main department of ideological work, Culture and Youth Affairs and the Department of Education Minoblispolkoma.

It is expected that this format works with young people will be the most effective in terms of both the development and implementation of state youth policy, the development of children and youth initiatives, youth participation in political, social, economic and cultural development of the region. In addition, the young residents of Minsk Region will be able to participate in the development and implementation of regional programs.

The purpose of the Youth Parliament will be the promotion of social adaptation of children and young people in today\'s society, preparing them to participate in public life and society, as well as awareness of their role in it, to attract young people to participate in social and political life of the Minsk region, formation, strengthening and improving the legal and political culture of the Minsk region, supporting civic engagement of young people.

It was reported that in 2015 declared the Year of Youth in Belarus.
