Belarus overtook Russia to export potash

According to the Belarusian company, in January-September 2014 the export of Belarusian potash fertilizers amounted to 7.3 mln. t.

\"Belarus has overtaken Russia as a result of exports of potash, and the prospects are very positive - for the eight months we have exported as much potassium as our Russian colleagues,\" - said the representative of the company. Export of Belarusian potash fertilizers in January-August this year amounted to 6.5 million tons. At the same time, according to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, the export of \"Uralkali\" for eight months slightly exceeded 6.5 million tons.

In BPC also noted that the dynamics remains positive. According to the Belarusian company, in January-September 2014 the export of Belarusian potash fertilizers amounted to 7.3 million tonnes, more than 60% over the same period last year. Only in the third quarter of 2014 was exported 2.4 million tons of Belarusian Potash (increase twice the level of the third quarter of 2013).

As the CEO of the Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) Elena Kudryavets export of Belarusian potash fertilizers in 2014 may exceed 9 million tons. \"That in the company\'s history was not - it is about 1 million tonnes more than our previous achievements,\" - she said.

According to the IFA (International Fertilizer Industry Association), the world\'s exports of potash in the first half of 2014 amounted to 26.4 million tons, of which 5.07 million tons were delivered to the Russian manufacturer, and 4.9 million tons - Belarusian. Thus, the share of \"BRIC\" in global exports is 19.2%, and \"Belaruskali\" - 18.7%. \"It is important to note that in the first half of the share of Belarusian potassium increased by almost 3 percentage points - from 15.9% to 18.7% compared to the same period in 2012. Thus, every fifth ton of potassium sold Belarus\", - underline industry specialists.

Belarusian Potash Company was established in April 2005, Republican Unitary Enterprise \"Production Association\" Belaruskali \"(August, 2010 -\" Belaruskali \") (Belarus) and Open Joint Stock Company\" Uralkali \"(Russia). During the second half of 2013, the leadership of the\" BRIC \"announced the discontinuation of selling their products through joint trader\" BPC \"and the simultaneous change of sales strategy. on August 2013 BPC aims to promote independent Belarusian potash fertilizers in the external markets.

\"Belaruskali\" is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of potash in the world and exports its products to 80 countries.
