MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) - The joint private joint-stock company BelGee will operate in the same economic environment as similar Russian enterprises, Belarus’ Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich told the RTR-Belarus TV channel on 8 February, BelTA has learnt.
According to the Prime Minister, a fundamental agreement had been reached with the owner of the Geely company. «The Belarusian government guarantees that the company will enjoy the economic environment which is not inferior to that created for Russian enterprises,» Mikhail Myasnikovich noted.
Mikhail Myasnikovich said that there had been no objections to the creation of another automaker in the Customs Union market. However, in this situation the Russian side required «equal economic environment and fair competition,» he underlined.
Mikhail Myasnikovich added that 60% of the first batch of cars assembled jointly by Belarus and China were exported to Kazakhstan, while about 25% were sold in Belarus.
