Over 80% of farm machines in Minsk oblast prepared for spring sowing campaign
MINSK, February 19 (BelTA) – More than 80% of farm machines in the Minsk oblast have been prepared for spring sowing campaign, BelTA learnt from Minskoblagroservice.
As of today, the Minsk oblast has examined and prepared 10,000 tractors (87% of the total number), 2,700 ploughs (85%), 2,400 cultivators (83%), 1,200 seeding-machines (83%) and 1,300 fertilisers spreaders (84%), More than 3,600 tractors (88%), 499 combined plowing outfits (89%) and 909 spraying machines (82%) .
The ‘repairs seasons’ started in the Minsk oblast in autumn last year. By this time, all the agricultural companies of the region have developed repair schedules. A total of 22 agro-service enterprises operate in the Minsk oblast.
According to Minskoblagroservice, in 2009, agricultural companies of the region intend to purchase more than 500 new farm machines: 50 loaders, 85 plowing machines, 95 ploughs, 85 fertilisers spreaders, 95 tractors and other machinery.
