Trade unions and employers ink new agreement

The new agreement inked by the trade unions and employers will improve the living standard of workers of the Minsk oblast, Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Association of Trade Unions Valery Titov told BelTA. By this time, the draft agreement between the Minsk Oblast Association of Trade Unions, the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, the Belarus National Association of Industrial Companies and the Minsk Oblast Agro-Industrial Union for 2009-2011 has been already agreed and it is ready to be signed. The agreement includes the section “Guarantees and social protection of the youth” which identifies the obligations of the sides on creation of the conditions to improve youth’s life including the life of the young specialists who work in rural areas. The Minsk Oblast Executive Committee has undertaken obligations on setting up the special funds to support young specialists. The sides have agreed to hold contests “Best Professional” among young workers of various branches of the economy. According to Valery Titov, the agreement between the Minsk Oblast Association of Trade Unions, the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, the Belarus National Association of Industrial Companies and the Minsk Oblast Agro-Industrial Union for 2009-2011 is expected to be signed till the end of 2009.
