Plans to set up high-tech full-cycle agribusiness in Minsk Oblast

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed the relevant decree

A high-tech full-cycle agribusiness enterprise will be established near Rudensk, Pukhovichi District, Minsk Oblast. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed the relevant decree on 8 August, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.

The document provides for implementing a high-priority export-oriented and import-substituting investment project. As part of the project factories will be built to make lysine, threonine, tryptophan, and animal feed. Seeds of oil-bearing-crops will be processed. Agricultural enterprises will grow cereals, legumes and oil-bearing-crops as part of the project.

In line with the decree the private joint-stock company Belarusian National Biotechnological Corporation will be set up to act as the customer for services involved in designing, building, and fitting out the agribusiness facilities.

The project\'s implementation will create over 1,000 jobs and will contribute to further development of the town of Rudensk, which is a satellite town of Minsk.
