Seven projects of students of institutions of Minsk Region Education marked the 13th diplomas of various degrees of XII Baltic Scientific and Engineering Competition held in St. Petersburg (Russia), BelTA learned from the education department of Minsk City Executive Committee.
Students Minsk region schools were awarded diplomas for projects related to high-tech methods of purification of oil-containing waste water, the development of new fire protection component in the prevention of forest fires and others.
\"At the international competition were presented vivid scientific research in the field of mathematics, programming, physics, engineering, biology, ecology and chemistry. In St. Petersburg the projects brought the young researchers from 13 to 18 years from different cities of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Minsk region in the competition were students of educational institutions of the city of Zhodino, Pukhovichi, Cmolevichi, Slutsk, Soligorsk and Cherven districts \", - told in the administration.
The structure of the scientific jury of the Baltic competition this year included more than 100 representatives of science in Russia and other CIS countries. Among them 25 doctors and more than 50 candidates, graduate students and researchers of leading universities and research institutes of St. Petersburg.
With bidders communicated general designers of large enterprises in St. Petersburg, the leaders of the scientific and technical departments, chief engineers, heads of departments and laboratories. Works of participants other than research evaluated the teacher\'s, youth, and business of the jury.
