Following a makeover, the railroad logistics center in Kolyadichi has been presented at the Belarusian transport market as a dry port connected by transport infrastructure to seaports, Deputy Director for Cargo and Foreign Economic Activity at the Belarusian Railways Alexander Lizunov told BelTA.
“The Kolyadichi terminal is in high demand among marine operators that use freighted and empty container storage and cargo delivery services,” he said. In his words, the Belarusian Railways has established cooperation with a number of big Baltic seaports (Klaipeda, Ventspils, Tallinn, Riga) as well as the Black Sea ports (Odessa and Ilyichevsk). The development of cooperation with the biggest seaport on the south coast of the Baltic Sea in Gdansk, Poland that unites the Scandinavian countries with Southeast Europe will add another cargo flow.
The Belarusian Railways completed the modernization of the freight depot in Kolyadichi. It is one of the key projects for the Belarusian Railways in transport logistics that opens new prospects in the development of export/import cargo transportation, including in the Belarusian-Chinese communication.
